Responsibilities:
• In-depth Technical knowledge of Oracle Forms and Reports, libraries, objects, menus
• Technical expertise in writing and tuning complex SQL Queries.
• Technical expertise writing and tuning PL/SQL.
• Expert knowledge of the Unix operating system and shell scripting
• Technical knowledge of WebSphere
• Technical knowledge of network firewalls, and understanding of how they are implemented to provide secure enclaves to protect server and database resources.
• Experience upgrading both Oracle Database and OFM software, and knowledge of tuning them.
• Expert knowledge of Oracle database objects, triggers, packages, functions, procedures, tables etc.
• Knowledge of software tools to manage application development and testing – Toad, SQL Developer, Oracle Forms and Reports Builder
• Expert ability to perform analysis of customer requirements and design technical solutions
• Ability to perform project management functions.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes and management tools such as VersionOne.
• Knowledge of and experience in an IT Service management System (preferably ServiceNow) and ITIL processes Ability to lead / mentor junior developers on development projects
• A minimum of ten (10) years experience in software development, database design, database administration, and/or related field;
• A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline is preferred;
• Able to perform all functional duties independently on high-visibility programs, or mission critical aspects of a given program;
• Able to oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job;
• Experience training/mentoring less experienced personnel;
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with designing, constructing, and maintaining large relational database systems;
• Extensive experience with Oracle or MS SQL Server DBMS, SQL Language, Unix/Linux including basic shell commands, data warehousing, report generation, job scheduling and monitoring tools, XML, HTML, open source development, and technical documenting skills (Windows Office/Visio/Cvs, etc.). ;
• Advanced Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server certification required;
• Extensive experience producing database-related documentation such as technical analyses and technical designs;
• Able to obtain Postal clearance;
• Excellent communication skills.
