Description

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments  

5 years of experience as Developer or DevOps work experience. At least 3 of those years should be in the DevOps space. 

At least 2 years of AWS experience managing resources in some subset of the following services: RDS, EC2, Iam, Route53, VPC, EKS, Beanstalk, WAF, CloudFront, Lambda. 

At least 1 year of experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform. Including experience writing Dockerfiles and Kubernetes manifests.

At least 1 year of experience developing Pipelines on a build server (Jenkins/Bamboo/etc.). 

At least 1 year of experience working with monitoring tools. 

Any scripting experience - Linux, Bash.

Excellent written & verbal communications skills a must. 

Ability to “read the docs” and learn new technologies.

At least 1 year of experience working with monitoring tools. 

 

It would be great if you also had . . .  

Experience with Helm and other Kubernetes tools. 

Python programming experience. 

Ansible experience. 

Some database maintenance experience, such as backup-and-restore practices. 

Datadog experience a plus. 

A Kubernetes or AWS Certification. 

What will you be doing in this role? 

Upgrading and improving our Kubernetes clusters. 

Troubleshooting environment-related problems with Development teams. 

Improving and extending our monitoring, including some time on a support rotation. 

Improving and extending our Pipeline automation. 

Writing Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform. 

Bringing new ideas to the team.

There are a few products we support in the Intellectual Property space. Those products rely on Kubernetes (AWS EKS), Jenkins, various AWS services (such as Beanstalk, IAM, EC2, RDS, Route53, Lambda, Cloudfront, WAF, S3), Bamboo, Kong and others.
