Senior DevOps Engineer

Role Overview:

 We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS DevOps Engineer with a heavy emphasis on Kubernetes to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our AWS environment, focusing on managing AWS EKS Kubernetes clusters and utilizing open-source tools like Envoy.

Environment

Fully AWS environment with AWS EKS Kubernetes clusters.

Utilization of open-source tools like Envoy.

Experience with Terraform stacks.

Ability to handle cluster migrations, such as EKS 1.21 to 1.3.

Kubernetes admin certification (CKA) with hands-on experience.

Skills

Managing numerous clusters, approximately 28+, requiring upgrades.

Strong technical abilities to overcome roadblocks, provide solutions, and think critically.

Thorough infrastructure management skills, particularly in Terraform.

Proficiency in Python and regular shell scripting in a Linux environment.

Emphasis on Kubernetes expertise, including debugging and Envoy.

Less emphasis on Ansible in the short term, but ability to learn if proficient in Terraform.
