Senior Director- AWS Cloud Architect

Responsibilities:

Develop a comprehensive cloud strategy aligned with the overall business goals and technology roadmap.
Define and enforce cloud architecture standards and best practices for building secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions on AWS.
Actively participate in the design and implementation of complex cloud architectures leveraging various AWS services.
Collaborate with application development teams to ensure optimal utilization of AWS for their projects, providing technical guidance and expertise.
Develop and implement cloud governance policies and procedures to ensure efficient and secure cloud resource utilization.
Establish cost optimization strategies to minimize cloud infrastructure expenses.
Lead the technical solution design for cloud-related Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
Partner with sales and business development teams to understand client requirements and translate them into compelling, technically sound cloud solutions for RFP responses.
Demonstrate a strong ability to design, deploy, and manage complex cloud solutions on AWS.
Be comfortable working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Partner with business stakeholders across different SBU’s to understand their needs and translate them into effective cloud solutions.
Stay up-to-date on the latest AWS services and effectively leverage them to solve real-world business problems.

Qualifications:

Minimum 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture and design, with a proven track record of hands-on implementation.
Experience leading, managing and working with technical teams.
In-depth knowledge of cloud computing concepts, principles, and best practices.
Experience working with cloud RFPs and developing technical proposals.
Strong understanding of AWS services across various domains (e.g., compute, storage, networking, database, security).
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation (preferred).
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Experience in migrating on-premises workloads to the cloud.
Must be comfortable with Well Architected Framework
Experience with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
Mandatory AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional)
