The Department of Commerce's innovation lab is seeking an experienced Senior Drupal Developer for an immediate short-term, part-time role. We need your expertise to build pioneering back-end integrations, API configurations, and perform front-end touch-ups on our website. Your Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement back-end integrations and API configurations for the Department of Commerce's innovation lab within the project timeline.
Maintain and optimize Drupal-based systems, ensuring seamless integration with other platforms and services.
Perform front-end touch-ups and enhancements to improve the user experience of the innovation lab's website.
Collaborate with the innovation lab team to quickly understand and translate technical and design requirements into functional solutions.
Utilize GitLab for efficient version control and collaboration.
Ensure the back-end infrastructure and front-end interfaces are optimized for speed, scalability, security, and usability.
Required Qualifications
Extensive experience with Drupal back-end development and integration.
Expertise in API configuration and integration.
Proficiency with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Familiarity with version control tools like GitLab.
Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment.
Immediate availability for a short-term, part-time role.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with federal clients, especially the Department of Commerce.
Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and best practices.
Familiarity with responsive and mobile-first design.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Ruby.
