Senior ETL Tester

UST is looking for a qualified Senior ETL Tester. The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability and collaborate effectively with domain and technical experts in the team.

The Opportunity

 

• Analyze and review business requirements (or user stories) and rules and determine the project scope, effort estimation, timeline and QA strategy.
• Test and ensure quality delivery of end-to-end business solutions
• Interprets business requirements and produces information objects to support those requirements.
• Implements changes consistent with business requirements and establishes time schedules.
• Creates and maintains appropriate documentation — designs and implementation standards.
• Develop and maintain test plans, and manual and automated test scripts for Functional Testing, Black Box Testing. Data Validation — Testing Types System Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing for SDLC Models of Waterfall & Agile.
• Develop Test Strategies. Test cases, SQL Test Scripts and perform Validations for ETL/Data Warehouse/Data Lake and BI Reporting applications (environment).
• Write effective test cases from requirements and technical spec's' and edit test cases to ensure software functions as designed.
• Database: IBM DB2, TOAD DB2, Query IT
• ETL: Abinitio (GDE), Abinitio Technical EME, MDH (Meta Data Hub)
• BI Tool: Cognos
• Defect Tracking: IBM Clear quest, JIRA
• Project Management/Test Management: HP ALM, Rally
• Scheduling Tools: Control-M, Control-Center.
• Operating System: Unix AIX
• Applications: Service Now, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook
• Ensuring adherence to test practices and processes to improve test coverage
• Create Test Estimates and Schedules
• Identify business processes, conduct risk analysis, and ensure test coverage
• Ensure adherence to processes and standards
• Produce test results, defect reports, test logs, and reports for evidence of testing
• Publish RCA reports and preventive measures
• Report the progress of testing
• Contribute to Revenue savings for clients by suggesting an alternate method

What You Need

 

• Minimum 4 to 5 Years of hands-on experience
• Testing Ab initio code experience
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and fix defects
• Create test cases based on test requirements
• Execute test cases as directed by the PV Lead.
• Participate in Extract Transform and Load Technical reviews
• Very Strong SQL/QUERY skills are a must.
• Demonstrated experience interacting with all levels of technical and business stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain test plans, and manual and automated test scripts for Functional Testing, Black Box Testing. Data Validation — Testing Types System Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing for SDLC Models of Waterfall & Agile.
• Must possess excellent background in Front end and backend testing, testing methodologies, and processes in both Agile and Waterfall development models
