Senior Hybrid Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, manage, and optimize firewall environments, with a preference for Azure NSGs, Cisco ASA, and Linux Iptables.
• Oversee routing configurations including Azure S2S/Express Route gateways and Linux-based routing and bridging.
• Handle load balancing setups, favouring Azure load balancers and Citrix Netscaler solutions.
• Administer switch configurations, primarily focusing on HP and Cisco products.

Your responsibilities include:

• General maintenance of the platform
• Monitor and resolve tickets
• Provide 1st line support on network related issues
• Perform network configuration verifications in relation to security policies
• Manage and setup backup jobs

Preferred Background & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in basic administration of Linux distributions, including package installation, BASH scripting, and scheduling cron jobs.
• Strong troubleshooting skills on Linux distributions.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure is required. Experience with other public cloud solutions like Google Cloud or Amazon AWS is also beneficial.
• Excellent teamwork skills and a keen interest in learning new technologies.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Azure ARM templates.
• Experience managing Linux environments, particularly Debian and Ubuntu.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA firewalls.
• Familiarity with Citrix Netscaler load balancers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerShell scripting
