Major responsibilities include:

· -Testing and analyzing assets for potential security threats.
· -Identifying possible security threats and determining the best security measures.
· -Assists with designing, implementing, and maintaining security protocols, policies, plans, and systems to cover all possible security threats.
· -Assists with coordinating activity of a team of security specialists to address security issues.
· -Meeting with internal users to discuss security measures, provide information, and provide a context for understanding the importance of information technology security.
· -Assist with risk assessment and security tests and designing countermeasures to eliminate as many potential risks as possible.
· -Compiling and presenting reports on security risks and threats.
· - Suggesting improvements to existing security systems.
· -Remaining up to date with the latest security systems, tools, trends, and technology.
· -Training staff to recognize and defend against security breaches and risks.
· -Accounting for time and activities.
During the interview process with the ODPS staff, the resource consultant must demonstrate competence/experience in their specific area(s) of information technology security. The resource’s experience must also be documented for review and verification. Offered resources not showing technical or functional competence/experience will be sufficient reason to reject the offeror’s proposal. It is the responsibility of the Offeror to pre-screen their candidates to ensure compliance. Resource will have a background check conducted by ODPS.

Mandatory Requirements and Years of Experience
1. 15 years of experience in information technology security.
2. 5 years of experience with information technology security threat hunting.
3. 10 Years of experience working with security tools: anti-virus, malware removal, etc.
4. 5 years of experience serving in an advisory capacity for information technology security related matters.
5. An understanding of information technology security infrastructure.
Desired Skills
1. 3 years of experience with computer application security.
2. An understanding of secure coding practices.
3 years of information technology security in the public sector.
