Senior IT Application Solution Architect

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will strategize, build consensus, and execute solutions, engaging in all phases of project lifecycle from initiation to implementation. Your expertise will ensure applications and servers adhere to best practices, fostering reusability and alignment with business objectives. Additionally, you will actively challenge conventional methods, advocating for innovative approaches and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define architecture programs supporting Amtrak’s Business Strategy
• Guide development of future-state architecture, ensuring effective adoption
• Act as a visionary across all business areas, defining direction for future projects
• Develop strategies, build consensus, and execute solutions
• Engage in all aspects of project lifecycle, from kickoff to implementation
• Present formal Conceptual and Solution Architectures to senior stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
• 8-15 years of experience in multiple IT areas, with 5-7 years in technology architecture
• Hands-on experience with Network Access Control (NAC), Cisco ISE, and Cisco DNA
• Proficiency in architectural modeling, service-oriented architecture, and enterprise information management
• Experience in design and implementation of SOA and Services in an enterprise setting
• Preferred: Transportation Industry experience, broad IT networking technologies knowledge, familiarity with EA frameworks
