Senior Java Scala Developer

A Senior Java Scala Developer who will work in designing and developing & enhancing educational platform that helps teachers and students for standard preparation and online assessment. . The Individual should be passionate about technology, experienced in developing cutting edge technology applications.

Technical Skills:

·         Overall 7+ years of professional experience in building applications in Java/Scala (Functional Programming)

·         Need strong Java 8 candidate with Scala experience

·         5+ years of Java experience

·         3+ years of  Scala experience

·         Experience in CI/CD tools : Demonstrated ability with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, etc.)

·         knowledge of NoSQL, Spark is welcome

·         Experience in working in the Scrum methodology

·         Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

·         Good Exposure to micro-service Architecture based platforms and REST based APIs;

·         Familiarity with standard development tools and processes: source control, IDE, JUnit test, debugging, profiling, JIRA, etc.

·         Need to demonstrate in-depth understanding of OO principles, design patterns and threading techniques.

Process Skills:

·         Capable of analyzing requirements and develop software as per project defined software process

·         Ability to write and develop high level and low level design.

·         Develop and peer review of LLD (Initiate/ participate in peer reviews)

·         Ability to execute test plans, create test cases test data and contribute to appropriate development life cycle methodology and application of specialized business and technical knowledge.

·         Contributes to estimation, design, debugging and addressing UAT and after care support. 

·         Develops independently; participates in code reviews and may lead code reviews. 

·         Designs, prepares and executes unit tests. 

Behavioral Skills:

·         Effectively collaborates and communicates with the stakeholders and ensure client satisfaction

·         Able to act as a Lead architect and guide the team during the complete SDLC cycle

·         Assume complete solution ownership and stakeholder management, able to convince customer on proposed solution and technical approach

·         Resolve technical issues of projects and Explore alternate designs

·         Participates as a team member and fosters teamwork by inter-group coordination within the modules of the project.

·         Effectively collaborates and communicates with the stakeholders and ensure client satisfaction

·         Train and coach members of project groups to ensure effective knowledge management activity.

Qualification:

·         Somebody who has at least 7+ years of work experience in Java based application stack

·         Education qualification: B.Tech, BE, BCA, MCA, M. Tech or equivalent technical degree from a reputed college
