Senior L2 Systems Engineers (Unix)

Role & Responsibilities:

• Available for 24 x 7 production support.
• Leads the day-to-day operational support for server, storage or network infrastructures.
• Builds, patches, tests (check for compatibility issues, conduct QA) and deploys complex systems and platforms meeting clients’ needs and specifications.
• Leads in planning and implementing changes to infrastructure with the goal of enhancing performance.
• Performs complex storage and server data backup, data migration and disaster recovery operations.
• Performs complex software and operating system upgrades and track system licensing.
• Performs system HA setup and deployment.
• Configures security settings or access permissions for groups and individuals.
• Documents complex procedures and troubleshooting procedures related to systems / networks software and hardware.
• Works with Business Applications, vendors, consultants, contractors and IT personnel from other company.
• Provides technical guidance and assistance to other IS Engineers and IS Administrators.

Job Requirements:

• At least 10 years' experience in designing / implementation / consulting of large-scale enterprise applications and solutions.
• Possess hands-on experience and good technical skills with proven track records in Core IT Infrastructure and / or emerging IT technologies engineering.
• Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills, able to interact professionally with all levels of the organization.
• Experience in Container (etc IBM ICP) setup and administration.
• Experience in Storage, Backup setup and administration.
• Experience in VMware setup and administration.
• Strong Linux / Windows System administration, scripting and programming languages (Java, PowerShell, Python and etc).
• Self-motivated with good interpersonal and communications skills who is able to work independently.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and documentation skills.
