We are looking for a seasoned Informatica specialist who is also well-versed in Informatica's Metadata Manager and Business Glossary.
You will be part of a major project to better leverage Metadata Manager, as part of a data governance initiative. Your role will be to use ETL tools to extract data from their data lake, understand how to best use Metadata Manager (along with Business Glossary) to maximize its capabilities and then rollout the enhanced system. Specific skills required/desired:
- Experience in Metadata Management; some level of Data Governance is ideal
- Must have experience in Informatica Metadata Manager & Business Glossary, and be able to understand how to best leverage them
- Experience with Infomatica Powercenter
- Knowledge of ETL tools
- Exposure to Big Data Technologies and related software/tools: HDFS, Teradata, Oracle ERWIN and Tableau are desired
- Prior data governance experience is a huge plus
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field with at least 7-8 years of industry experience
Other skills that would be extremely beneficial:
- Assist in analyzing business requirements, source systems, understand underlying data sources, transformation requirements, data mapping, data model and metadata for reporting solutions
- Provide structure and leadership to help drive team priorities, streamline work efforts, manage business expectations and communicate statuses to leadership
- Work closely with business owners to define and document governance requirements, issue escalation procedures, new user access, outage communication templates and other SOP's
- Organize and socialize metadata resources, such as data lineage documents, data mappings, data dictionaries, training documents, knowledge base/wiki, etc
- Strong analytical focus, results-oriented and execution driven, with the ability to align technology developments with the generation of potential competitive business advantage
- Self-motivated, well organized and has strong innovation and facilitation skills, especially in driving consensus among senior technical resources
