The Opportunity
We are looking for a Network Security Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining and administering Applied Materials Network Infrastructure. Your primary duties will include maintenance of Network hardware, software, and other related systems, performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks, and replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary. You will also be working closely with the local Service providers and Vendors to identify potential issues and fix existing problems.
To be a successful candidate, you will need to have a strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware. You will also need to be able to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices including WAPs, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers. A deep knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols is highly desired.
Required Education And Experience
- 8 to 10 years of experience in handling enterprise Network Architecture.
Responsibilities
- Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
- Experience in setting up new DMZ environment, ISP connections, perimeter firewalls- Palo Alto, with External Application load balancers F5 LTM, GTM and APM
- Involved in Design and Deployment of ISP connections, WAN connectivity, Internet Core routers configuration, Palo Alto firewall configuration with multiple vsys, URL filtering, SSL decryption, APP ID.
- Build the 100+ Palo Alto Firewalls from scratch for the migration.
- Working experience on complex Checkpoint, Cisco ASA & Palo Alto Firewalls Environment.
- Configuring Palo Alto Next Generation firewall with security, networking, and management features such as URL filtering, Anti-virus, IPsec VPN, SSL VPN, IPS, Log Management.
- Resolved Customers request to create firewall policies for Palo alto Panorama.
- Palo Alto Firewall VM Spin-up Infrastructure configuration and troubleshooting for Windows Azure and AWS environments.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting traffic on Palo Alto firewall through Panorama. Creating and modifying rules and objects on Palo Alto firewall through Panorama
- Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including Wireless controller, Access points, firewall, routers, switches, Remote access, site to Site VPN , MPLS and SDWAN technologies.
- Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
- Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection.
- Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
- Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.
- A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable and flexible when necessary.
- Hands-on experience in working with tools like Service Now & Solar winds
- Active network certification (e.g. CCNP, ACMA or ACMP) is a strong plus
