Senior Network Engineer (L3)1
Job Description/Responsibilities
Operational Responsibilities:
Provide third-level support for complex network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Diagnose and resolve advanced network issues escalated from L1 and L2 support, applying in-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies.
Conduct thorough root cause analysis for recurring network problems and develop permanent solutions to mitigate future occurrences.
Monitor network performance and analyze traffic patterns using advanced network monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential bottlenecks, security threats, or performance issues.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers to troubleshoot hardware or software issues, coordinating efforts to ensure timely resolution and minimal impact on operations.
Perform regular audits of network configurations, ensuring adherence to industry best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
Mentor and train junior network engineers, sharing expertise on advanced troubleshooting techniques, network design principles, and security best practices.
Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support for critical network incidents (Major Incident Management-MIM) or maintenance activities, ensuring the availability and reliability of network services. End-to-End responsibility.
