Education & Experience Required:

-                Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

-                10+ years /expert level  in this field 

 

Technical Skills

(Required)

-                Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) - Expert

-                Database Lifecycle Management (DBLM) - Intermediate

-                Oracle Fleet Management module to deploy automated patching - Intermediate

-                Scripting (shell, Perl, email) - Expert

-                SQL structured query language - Expert

-                Oracle Database Administration skills managing Oracle database versions 12c and 19c

-                Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)

-                Manual database patching and database upgrades

-                Installing Oracle release updates (RU) security patches on data guard, multitenant, stand-alone and Real Application Cluster (RAC) databases

-                Database performance management

-                Database hardware configuration

-                Linux / UNIX operating systems (RedHat and AIX)

-                Technical project management, technical leadership, and strong communication skills to work with DBAs and application teams in various situations.

-                Providing on the job training and developing learning materials for DBAs

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

-                Provide technical leadership for all aspects of database management such as database lifecycle management, monitoring, support, disaster recovery, compliance, and standards.

-                Research new Oracle database versions, features, tools, and technologies with an Enterprise perspective to meet customer needs while maintaining a secure database environment.

-                Research, benchmark, and suggest improvements to database support processes, customer experience (CX) improvements, and compliance requirements.

-                Provide 3rd and 4th level Oracle database support for complex issues.

-                Participate in and manage database related projects, database security patching audits, and compliance reviews and testing.

-                Develop new and update existing database technology related documentation as needed

-                Coach and communicate information to application support teams and peers across the enterprise on Oracle technology changes, new features, key projects, and customer experience improvements

-                Participate on customer driven and Division/department projects
