Senior Oracle Database Administrator - Support

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA with Cloud experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical Oracle Database systems, ensuring high availability and consistent performance. This role will involve working closely with our development and operations teams to design and implement database solutions in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database servers in cloud environments.
Ensure the availability and performance of Oracle databases that support our systems.
Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.
Plan and implement backup and recovery strategies for the database.
Manage and support database replication and high availability features.
Conduct database security management and ensure compliance with security policies.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schemas.
Implement and maintain database patches and upgrades.
Monitor database systems and proactively address potential issues.
Provide on-call support as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
Extensive experience with Oracle database administration in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud.
Strong knowledge of Oracle 11g, 12c, and 19c.
Proficient in database performance tuning and optimization.
Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
Familiarity with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard.
Hands-on experience with PL/SQL and SQL scripting.
Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
Experience with cloud database services and tools.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Oracle DBA certification is a plus.

Preferred Skills

Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
Knowledge of other database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) is a plus.
Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
