The Role

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

To deliver customer focused, timely and accurate payroll services to supporting the outcomes
Provide expert advice to the business/stakeholders
Making decisions and leading the team in terms of payroll activities and functions
Accurately process and manage schedules associated with end-to-end payroll activities as required
Payroll deduction reconciliations are completed within the finance timeline
Work closely with Manager Payroll, Internal and External Audit to ensure open and transparent reviews of the payroll function are undertaken including implementation of audit outcomes
Coach, mentor and develop other payroll staff and monitor the processing work of other officers to ensure accurate and correct information is entered into the payroll system
Finalising end-of-month payroll procedures, payments, and reporting
Finalising end-of-financial & FBT year payroll procedures and reporting
Interpretation and advises on payroll related acts, awards, Enterprise Agreement, HR policies and delegations.
Preparing Super, Payroll Tax, PAYG tax and Workers Compensation

Skills And Experience Required

We are seeking applications from candidates who bring:

Certificate / Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field
Working knowledge of Chris 21 or similar payroll system
Knowledge of Microsoft Office package
Understanding of awards, Enterprise Agreements, HR, and Payroll governance
Knowledge of FBT, workers compensation, superannuation, and payroll tax legislation
Proactive and strong attention to detail
Good data entry skills, accuracy and proven reliability
Ability to communicate in an exceptional manner, both orally and in writing
Demonstrated ability to work both as part of a team and independently
