Senior PL/SQL Developer

citi is looking for PL/SQL developer having 8+ years of experience with background in PL/SQL development, data architecture, data modeling, performance tuning and trouble shooting skills in Oracle database platformSkill SetExposure to database architecture, Oracle RAC, Data guard, partitioningExperience in Oracle database performance tuningExperience in Oracle PL/SQL development - Writing stored procedures, functions, packages, triggersExperience in Unix shell scriptingKnowledge of PL/SQL and SQLKnowledge of Oracle in-memory, Oracle TDE feature is a plusHands on experience with Teradata, Snowflake, Sybase IQ, MongoDB and ETL tool is a plusExperience in handling table partitioning requirement.Cloud and Snowflake certifications are plusExperience programming and/or architecting a backend language (Python, Unix Script etc).Experience in Oracle DBA Oracle database management, backup and restore, migration, upgrade.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and enhance existing framework for data load/unload, export/import, purging, stat gather and other database monitoring.Pro-actively monitor database locks, blocks, long running queries and act on issuesOptimize for throughput, concurrency, load and performance with best practices for SQL queries, caching, indexing strategies and other performance best practicesWork closely with production support and developers to identify trouble queries, analyze query plan and tune queries for performance issuesEnsure proper process and policies are being followed by enforcing data management and governance.Work with SA and DBA to ensure latest VTM patches and bug fixes are applied.Monitor DB and tablespace size and keep db size under control by purgingCreate, build and maintain lower environments (i.e UAT/QA/Dev) and regularly perform data refresh on these environmentInvolve in architecture, design and development of data warehouse and operational databasesBuilds data models including conceptual, logical, and physical designDefining strategic roadmaps for migration of data stores and data-related applications to the cloud and/or other large data warehouse platforms
