The Office of Performance Analysis and Integrity oversees the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), a critical hub for data management and analytics. Our team provides comprehensive support for the EDW, including project management, data warehouse management, advanced analytics, and more. We are dedicated to enhancing business intelligence capabilities and predictive analytics while ensuring the security and integrity of the data.
Functional Job Information:
As a Senior Product Analyst, you will manage complex programs from initiation to completion, leveraging your expertise in planning, analyzing, and evaluating operating programs. Utilizing qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, you will assess program effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for process improvement.
Responsibilities:
• Collect, compile, and analyze data to evaluate business processes and programs, supporting the Program Manager and stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying new data sources and analyzing relevant data for process evaluation and requirements gathering.
• Support the development and updating of program deliverables, ensuring alignment with stakeholder requirements.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings to understand and document business requirements, facilitating their integration into sprint activities.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and oversight to junior Program Analysts.
• Deliver accurate and timely status reports on assigned tasks, maintaining documentation on team activities and enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize ad hoc report development and ensure data consistency and accuracy.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a business discipline; additional 8 years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
• 10+ years of relevant experience analyzing and evaluating processes and programs.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic thinking abilities.
• Strong communication skills for presenting recommendations and providing training.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain required security clearance.
