Job Description:
The Senior Project Development Manager will lead the development and execution of cutting-edge renewable energy projects, including microgrids, solar PV systems, energy storage, and electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. This role will oversee the project lifecycle from concept through completion, focusing on system design, permitting, procurement, and construction. The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects in the clean energy sector with an emphasis on solar, ESS, and microgrids integrated with EV chargers.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of solar, microgrid, and energy storage projects, including EV charger integration.
Manage project planning, design, engineering, and permitting processes.
Oversee procurement and construction of renewable energy infrastructure.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, engineering, and construction to optimize project performance.
Engage with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, utility companies, and local authorities.
Provide expertise on the latest technologies and best practices for microgrid, solar, and ESS design and deployment.
Track project milestones and manage key deliverables for successful execution.
Negotiate contracts, manage risk, and handle change orders effectively.
Lead efforts in securing funding, grants, tax incentives, and rebates for projects.
Mentor junior project managers and provide leadership in developing a high-performing team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
7+ years of experience in project management, specifically in renewable energy (solar, ESS, microgrids, EV charging systems).
Proven track record of leading large-scale clean energy projects from concept to completion.
In-depth knowledge of solar PV systems, energy storage technologies, and microgrid design.
Familiarity with EV charger infrastructure and integration with renewable systems.
Experience working with permitting agencies and utility interconnections.
Strong understanding of financial modeling, PPA structures, and tax incentives (e.g., ITC, SGIP, Solar for All).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
PMP or similar project management certification is preferred.
NABCEP certification or similar credentials in solar energy is a plus.
