Senior Project Engineer

You will be working as Senior Project Engineer and will be part of Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction during entire project life cycle. Developing and maintaining good relationship with customers and delivering project work with at most focus and quality.

Your responsibilities

• Handling a project independently from start to end of the project which include (site survey, engineering, FAT, SAT, punch point closure
• Performing hardware design and engineering for industrial automation and safety applications in DCS, PLC and SCADA
• Engaging in site survey, discussions with customers, in preparation and finalization of engineering documents, based on project timeline
• Preparing own activity schedule in line with project schedule and will monitor the progress, for timely completion
• Identifying opportunity for standardization, optimization in all aspects of design, engineering and overall project scope
• Keeping up to date on developments in product technology and ensures high level of awareness on ABB solutions portfolio

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in electronics, electrical or instrumentation engineering
• Require 8 to 10 years of experience pharma and chemicals
• Good experience in IEC 61131 programming languages, bus protocols (like Profibus, Modbus TCP/Ip, Profinet, Foundation field bus, etc.)
• Experience in 800xA pharma / chemicals, cyber security, virtualization, networking (basic knowledge) team management (4 to 6 team need to manage)
• Hands on exposure batch applications (lead the team in batch applications)
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
