Your role and responsibilities

Work model: hybrid #LI-hybrid Your responsibilities: • Acting as a technical lead, approving design deliverables. Reviewing all project documents for conformity, safety, and quality assurance. • Anticipating and solving crucial issues and/or unique conditions. Serving as a specialist in the application of advanced concepts and methods. • Acting as design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completing engineering assignments for that discipline • Collaborating on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, clarifying potential issues, or providing solutions to correct engineering errors. Providing technical support to commissioning and start-up activities • Working with the customer to shape and deliver solutions and seeking customer feedback to drive and deliver improvements. Finalizing ‘Fail-Safe Philosophy’ and other key concepts as part of Kick-off and design freeze meetings. •Participating in project meetings and resolving any outstanding technical issues to meet contractual obligations. • Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs. • Applying Design Thinking / Design for Excellence concepts in projects, including modelling, proto-typing, simulation, and calculations. • Performing Project Peer-Reviews. Utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines. •Actively contributing and sharing experiences in workshops pertaining to engineering design, tools, and processes. • Coaching engineering colleagues on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, best practices and lessons learned from past projects. • Developing, selecting, and applying standard techniques, procedures, and tools. Ensuring that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements. Reporting processes and tools inefficiencies and suggesting ideas for improvements. • Assessing and addressing technical risks and opportunities. Reporting any contract / safety / quality / program / cost issues to Project Manager(s) along with recommendations, for resolution. • Ensuring Bill of Material (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations; and project gross margin requirements by not generating Project Left-Over Material (PLOM). Identifying and implementing variation requests to support contract claims based on the approval from Project Manager. • Creating work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects in consultation with respective Project Managers and ensuring quality deliverables on time and at targeted cost. • Preparing RFQs to meet contractual requirements and providing technical evaluation of suppliers’ proposals. • Collaborating with the Supply Chain function and the Project Manager(s). • Coordinating and/or participating with Manufacturing and Testing teams to ensure the technical solutions are appropriately manufactured/ staged and tested. • Collaborating and/or participating in project installation, commissioning, and site activities, clarifying potential issues, or providing solutions to correct engineering errors. • Contributing to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work and projects according to customer order and expectation.

Qualifications for the role

 

  • Engineering Degree
  • Overall Networking and cyber security systems understanding, combined with automation systems knowledge.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in Industrial networking and cyber security solutions for control systems preferably having experience with Onshore and/or Offshore Oil and Gas customers like with ADNOC and/or Power & Water sector experience
  • Customer interpersonal skills, Communication Skills
  • Expertise in designing and implementing Operational Technology (OT) network solutions for Control systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and frameworks, with a focus on OT environments.
  • Familiarity with OT-specific cybersecurity standards such as ISA/IEC 62443.
  • Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and network segmentation in industrial settings.
  • Experience in actively working with industrial switches and routers.
  • Hands on experience on CISCO Layer 2 and Layer 3 Switches.
  • Hands on experience on Level-2 Network Technology like VLAN/VTP/STP/RSTP/MSTP/VRRP/MRP/PRP.
  • Experience on MLPS, L3 VPN, L2 VPN.
  • Hands on experience on routing Protocol.
  • Experience on any Network Monitoring Tool.
  • Good Understanding of common OT protocols such as Modbus, IEC104, OPC, IEC61850 etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of IP addressing, subnet classes, and subnetting techniques.
  • CCNA (R&S/Security) & CCNP (R&S/Security) certifications.
  • Knowledge on Control Systems.
  • Experience on below or most of below Cybersecurity Solutions: McAfee ePO or similar, ENS Threat Prevention or similar, Application Whitelisting; Industrial Firewall (Tofino, Eagle,) Cisco FTD, FortiGate, Sophos Firewall Backup system (Acronis or similar)
  • Fluency in English language
