Description

The Senior Project Manager, Scrum Master will be responsible for supporting complex projects/products and programs using pre-existing knowledge, skills, templates, and expertise in various organizational and implementation methodologies.  They will support all phases of the project/product lifecycle using project/product management practices. This position is responsible for concurrently managing multiple projects/products with multiple teams across multiple business areas in a matrixed reporting structure.     Your Day to Day: • Delivers multiple complex projects/products (and sometimes programs) that impact multiple business areas. • Manages timeline and financials along with risks, issues, decisions, and changes. • Manages risk/issue escalations and drives resolution. • Manages resources in a cross-functional matrixed environment. Is responsible for executive level reporting and communication. • Mentors other PMs and contribute to the project/product management discipline or other process improvements. • Focuses on the needs of the team and ensures value is provided to the customer. • Establishes clear boundaries in which the team can work. Assists with removing roadblocks and manages the process and culture to ensure team progress and continuous improvement. • Mentors the team with Agile knowledge to ensure Scrum and other relevant methodologies are understood and applied. • Helps the Product Owner enact effective backlog grooming techniques; facilitate sprint planning, daily scrum and sprint retrospectives; produces sprint burndown and other metrics. • Liaises with architecture and operations when there are dependencies to systems and infrastructure. • Collaborates with, guides, and advises product owners/managers, developers and other agile team members by providing coaching, consulting and support to change and improve the team's way of working to increase speed to value • Helps teams and individuals embed agile values and mindsets into their solution creation and problem-solving ways of working • Coaches individuals and teams to improve fast flow of value by leveraging agile, DevOps and lean principles, practices, and patterns • Owns and drives continuous improvement culture and discipline, impediment identification,  experiment process, and continual adoption of agile ways of working • Uses extensive knowledge of agility frameworks, methods, and real-world team and team-of-team's adoption of agility but helps them apply these based on their specific context, point of time in their journey, and their specific and unique outcome goals and challenges (i.e., using agility practices as a means to an end rather than for the sake of doing Agile or hitting some "Agile maturity score") • Baselines and tracks progress of speed and quality, continuously improving speed to value  *This document is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job. Employees may be required to perform other job-related duties.   We’re Looking For: • Demonstrated experience managing multiple time-sensitive, complex projects, involving multiple stakeholders and/or external vendors. • Comfortable with managing strong personalities and external vendor relationships. • Experienced with technical projects, with an understanding of APIs, development, etc. • Strong (target 10 years) with standard PM functions, such as SOW management, finance tracking, reporting. • Experience with technology operations process and terminology for methodologies supporting business and technology collaboration, intake documentation, and/or handoffs; experience with project scoping, requirements, and user stories preferred. • Demonstrated experience managing projects/products using both agile/sprint methodologies and traditional waterfall. • Demonstrated experience creating program/project metrics/dashboards that allows to build a continuous improvement backlog and tracking • Demonstrated experience being part of a community of practice, coaches and enablers, recognized for skill and background, and a trusted partner that the value stream teams rely on to continuously improve • Workshops, mapping sessions, improvement kata working sessions become something every team wants to be a part of because of the value they produce • Coached teams feel empowered and enabled to understand their value streams, independently identify impediments, and consistently work the improvement process
