Senior Quality Assurance Automation Analyst

Job Description:

· 7+ years working in QA / Software Testing, with at least 3+ years as a Sr. QA Automation Analyst primarily using Java/Selenium /TestNG/Cucumber BDD/Katalon (they are replacing Selenium w/ Katalon which is an automation tool)

· Simcorp experience (big desktop application used for investments)

· 1+ year of experience using test management and automation tools such as Client ALM/Quality Center.

· Strong experience with testing in capital markets and investment banking domain.

· Work as part of a team with the ability to influence others and be an agent for change.

· Ability to learn quickly work efficiently.

· Ability to work independently, when necessary, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment.

· Positive attitude and a demonstrated ability to accomplish complicated testing projects with confidence.

· Proven written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong commitment to department and company goals.

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Architecture, Finance, or business equivalent.

Accountabilities:

· Designs, develops, and deploys advanced automated testing frameworks (Web, API, and desktop applications) that provide reliable and repeatable test results.

· Documents and facilitates communication and troubleshooting of issues, defects, and changes to aid others in quick and efficient remediation and in accordance with QA processes.

· Partners across QA team to setup testing tools and processes.

· Performs peer review and provides feedback to QA staff, with a focus on continuous improvement.

· Provides subject matter expertise on quality automation; oversees planning and testing of application(s) for assigned projects.

· Writes and executes automated scripts, test scenarios and detailed test cases from the requirements/use cases.

· Assists QA Manager in planning and documenting the testing effort by creating test plans and test strategies, collecting, and analyzing data, summarizing information related to failed processes, corrective actions and re-validations.

· Collaborates with QA team, including offshore resources, to accomplish all daily QA tasks on-time, with a high level of quality.

· Defines testing estimates, prioritizes testing items according to business criticality and impact and manages resources required to sufficiently perform testing.

· Fosters collaborative relationship within the QA team, as well as with developers and product owners to maximize the value of testing.
