Senior Quicksight Developer

Required Experience:

• 1+ years of hands-on experience with designing dashboards in AWS QuickSight is required.
• Experience with creating datasets and SPICE query mode within AWS.
• Must be an expert in Report Authoring.
• Must have data extraction knowledge by writing complex & analytical SQL queries.
• Experience with best practices in the Business Intelligence platforms like Cognos, Power BI, Tableau, SAS.
• 10+ years of BI experience.

Required Skills:

• Good knowledge on working with AWS QuickSight. 
• Must have SQL experience in building and analyzing queries in Oracle & Teradata databases.
• Work with Scrum teams & analytics support teams for report migration tasks.
• Strong understanding of relational and star-schema database designs is preferred.
• Good understanding of ODS/EDW and AWS Data marts.
• Good knowledge and experience using different Web services offered by Amazon.
• Ability to work independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Receives no instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments.
• Must possess a proven track record on business intelligence project delivery and demonstrate exceptional business acumen, strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.

Description of duties:

• Cleanse and transform data to ensure compatibility with QuickSight & relational databases.
• Create datasets which will be used to build Analyses & Dashboards in AWS QuickSight.
• Build dashboards in AWS QuickSight with visualization best practices while maintaining similar functionality of the report being migrated from a different BI platform like Cognos, SAS etc.
• Optimize dashboard performance through dataset tuning.
• Unit test reports before submitting them for UAT approvals.
• Triage & resolve bugs reported by the UAT team.
• Lead technical demos delivered to the user community for go-live dashboards.
• Provide on-going support for issues related to Production dashboards.
