Senior SAP ABAP Consultant

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

ABAP Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP applications using ABAP programming language.
• Write efficient and reusable ABAP code.
• Implement custom reports, enhancements, forms, and interfaces using ABAP.

Technical Design:

• Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to gather requirements and design technical solutions.
• Prepare technical design documents and specifications.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and standards.

System Enhancements and Optimization:

• Identify system inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Optimize ABAP code for performance and scalability.
• Implement enhancements using user exits, BADI, and enhancement frameworks.

Testing and Debugging:

• Perform unit testing and support integration and user acceptance testing.
• Debug and resolve issues in existing programs and processes.
• Provide post-go-live support to ensure smooth operations.

Integration:

• Develop and maintain interfaces between SAP and other systems.
• Work with ALE/IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Web Services for system integration.

Documentation and Support:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all developments and modifications.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users and junior developers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience in SAP ABAP development, preferably with SAP ECC 6.0 or SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, FI/CO) and business processes.
• Proficiency in ABAP programming including Reports, ALV, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancement Framework, and SmartForms/SAPscript.
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori, OData, and CDS views is a plus.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience with Agile or other project management methodologies is a plus.

Experience:

• 6+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Experience in a full lifecycle implementation of SAP project
