Description

We are seeking a Senior Scrum Master/Team Coach (SM/TC) to join our team as a servant leader and guide in Agile methodologies. This role will support our Agile Team and ART (Agile Release Train) in delivering value, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and facilitating high-performance teams. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of experience in Agile practices, particularly in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), and will excel in coaching teams towards higher maturity levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coach teams in self-organization and guide them towards achieving higher maturity levels.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts, including backlog refinement, PI Planning, and user story refinement.
  • Support team members in resolving conflicts, problem-solving, and decision-making processes.
  • Utilize persuasion over authority as a servant leader to drive team success.
  • Assist team members in continuous learning and skill development.
  • Ensure transparency within the team by maintaining updated information radiators.
  • Coach and train the team on Agile methods beyond Scrum, such as SAFe, Kanban, and Built-in Quality practices.
  • Prepare the team for PI Planning and facilitate Iteration events for planning, review, and retrospection.
  • Work within the ART's cadence and synchronization to ensure alignment and dependency management.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to maximize the solution's value.
  • Establish and maintain the team Kanban board to visualize work and enhance flow.
  • Measure and optimize flow, competency, and outcomes to improve overall performance.
  • Foster Agile Team attributes such as self-management, collaboration, and transparent communication.
  • Actively pursue personal development as a Scrum Master/Team Coach.
  • Support the adoption of SAFe across the enterprise by coaching stakeholders and non-agile teams on effective interactions with Agile Teams.
  • Participate in Communities of Practice (CoPs) and support SAFe Practice Consultants (SPC).
  • Serve as a Lean-Agile Leader, modeling the mindset, values, and principles for others.
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration to bring whole product solutions to market.
  • Represent the team in ART events and attend other team events as necessary.
  • Build trust between the team and stakeholders to improve alignment and forecasting accuracy.
  • Coach the Innovation and Planning (IP) Iteration to foster innovation and continuing education.
