Senior System Engineer

Job Description: Theoris Services is helping one of our clients to find a Senior Systems Engineer. In this role, you will be part of a team handling project-based tasks and serving as a crucial point of escalation when necessary. You will collaborate with a dedicated team to cater to the needs of multiple clients, deliver project work, support, upgrade, and contribute to the cloud infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Windows, VMware, and cloud technologies.
• Experience with Office 365 and public cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
• Strong networking skills including switching, routing, and VPN.
• Expertise in Cisco, Fortinet, and Dell switches.
• Familiarity with ConnectWise PSA and ConnectWise Automate.
• Ability to lift servers (up to 40 lbs overhead) and climb basic ladders.
• Understanding of structured cabling and hardware selection.
• Excellent communication and consulting skills.

Responsibilities:

• Execute project-based tasks and provide support across multiple client environments.
• Serve as a point of escalation for complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with the team to implement upgrades and enhancements.
• Act as a trusted advisor, consulting clients on IT solutions and upgrades.
• Manage and maintain private and public cloud environments.
• Provide expertise in Windows (Active Directory and Group Policy creation), VMware, and cloud technologies.
• Handle P2V migrations and virtualization tasks using VMware ESXi or Hyper-V.
• Configure and manage networking components including switching, routing, VPN, Cisco switches, Fortinet firewalls and switches, Dell switches, Ubiquiti UISP and Unifi.
• Utilize PowerShell scripting for automation and efficiency.
• Demonstrate senior-level knowledge and experience in networking and firewalls.
