Job Title: Senior Test Engineer - Enterprise Data Warehouse Support Services

Customer: Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), Office of Performance Analysis and Integrity (PA&I)

Location: Veterans Affairs facilities in the Washington, District of Columbia (DC) region (100% on-site)

Background Check: Must be a U.S. citizen; Level 2 clearance including fingerprints

The Office of Performance Analysis and Integrity oversees the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), a pivotal platform for data management and analytics. Our team provides comprehensive support for the EDW, encompassing project management, data warehouse management, advanced analytics, and more. We prioritize enhancing business intelligence capabilities and predictive analytics while ensuring data security and integrity.

Professional Level Information:

As a Senior Test Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and execution of test plans for Enterprise Data Warehouse projects. You will utilize your expertise to ensure 508 compliance and coordinate with developers, end-users, and organizations to create test plans and scripts. With your comprehensive technical expertise, you will identify defects, evaluate new testing tools and technologies, and mentor junior test engineers.

A Senior Test Engineer possesses extensive experience in software testing, particularly in data warehouse testing. They are adept at SQL, scripting languages, and test automation frameworks. Their responsibilities include leading test plan development, executing test cases, resolving defects efficiently, and staying updated on data warehouse testing trends and best practices.

Responsibilities:

Ensure 508 compliance throughout testing processes.

Lead the design, development, and execution of test plans for Enterprise Data Warehouse projects.

Develop and execute test cases to verify data warehouse accuracy, completeness, and performance.

Collaborate closely with the development team to identify and resolve defects promptly.

Evaluate and implement new testing tools and technologies.

Mentor and train junior test engineers.

Participate in developing and implementing test automation frameworks.

Stay informed about the latest data warehouse testing trends and best practices.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on data warehouse testing, or equivalent experience.

Proficiency in SQL, scripting languages, and test automation frameworks.

Experience with 508 compliance.

Strong understanding of data warehouse architecture, design, and testing principles.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must be a U.S. citizen.

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
