Lead/Senior Web Software Engineer

We are looking for an experienced senior Web Engineer who can design, develop and deploy web apps and cloud services to deliver innovative digital experiences that serve athletes and consumers.

The ideal candidate has strong expertise in JavaScript and NodeJS, along with deep understanding of AWS infrastructure, services and configuration. You should be able to own a functional area, provide leadership to other developers and complete features to specification, on schedule and with high quality. Multiple positions are available; the right candidate may be offered a lead role.

Responsibilities

• Develop high quality, consumer-grade, responsive web experiences.
• Design and implement web and cloud services which can run reliably at scale.
• Collaborate with technologists and product managers to define features.
• Utilize standards and methodologies to partition code for quality and maintainability.
• Assist with Spring planning and organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or relevant software experience.
• Strong programming expertise in JavaScript and NodeJS.
• Experience developing and deploying NodeJS services in production at scale.
• Experience with AWS services, particularly EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, ELB, etc.
• Experience with NoSQL stores including Elasticsearch and DynamoDB.
• Experience using relational databases, particularly Postgres.
• Knowledge of REST, GraphQL and other API patterns.
• Understanding of monitoring, tracing and observability tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Docker, Terraform and DevOps.
• Experience with front-end frameworks like React/Redux is a huge plus.
• Exposure or interest in ML ops and data pipelines is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Scrum, Kanban and/or Agile principles and practice.
• Excellent communication skills in working with globally distributed teams.
