About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced ServiceNow CMDB and Service Mapping Specialist to join our team and play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing these solutions on the ServiceNow platform. In this role, you will leverage your deep understanding of ServiceNow ITOM , APM functionalities and best practices to implement efficient solutions that align with our business needs. You will play a pivotal role in building integrations, maintaining CMDB structures, implementing Service Mapping processes, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain CMDB structures, including CI classes, attributes, relationships, and discovery rules.
Implement and configure ServiceNow Service Mapping to automate the discovery and mapping of IT services and components.
Create and maintain service maps, patterns, and probes to accurately represent the IT environment.
Analyze and resolve CMDB data quality issues, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
Collaborate with IT teams to identify CMDB requirements and implement necessary changes.
Develop custom scripts and integrations to enhance CMDB and Service Mapping capabilities.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CMDB and Service Mapping processes.
Provide support for CMDB and Service Mapping related incidents and requests
Check CMDB has necessary CI types and attributes to support Service Mapping.
Check the readiness of implementing the Service Mapping.
Enhance discovery and develop patterns, fix any ongoing issues, identify and classify IT components and ensure the data is populated correctly.
Help in maintaining the CMDB dashboard health and do required cleanups.
Work on IRE rules and help in deduplication of CIs and then Establish relationships between CIs to represent dependencies.
Build new service maps and building/validating that related event management, ITOM capabilities are working to support an automated service health dashboard.
Service Modeling of the data and applications.
Developing custom applications related to Service Mapping, CMDB and also performing unit testing to ensure the functionality is working as desired.
Work on any issues / errors encountered during implementation and provide fix for the same.
Work on reporting and dashboard requirements which can help in tracking and realizing the service mapping benefit.
Identify opportunities to improve the mapping process and provide discovery and mapping support for a wide variety of popular cloud platforms
Work on integrations related to population of CMDB Data Ex : Service Graph Connectors.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT.
Minimum 3+ years of demonstrably strong experience with ServiceNow platform configuration, development, and administration.
Proven experience in designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions across various modules like ITSM , CMDB , Service Mapping , ITOM , APM
Experience in CPG , ITAM ( SAM + HAM ) is a plus.
CSA (Certified System Administration) is a must , CAD (Certified Application Developer) is a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proven ability to deliver high impact projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
