ServiceNow Senior Software Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with business applications across functional areas
  • Assist in coding, testing, and debugging of ServiceNow software
  • Work in a Product Model that includes end-to-end ownership of the product's design, operation, maintenance, and growth
  • Work on Portal (end-user) and Platform (fulfiller) elements of ServiceNow
  • Designs, plans, and leads implementation of Legal Service Delivery.
  • Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing requirements suited to the business needs.
  • Reviews work-in-progress and suggests corrective action to keep projects on schedule.
  • Ensures that installed systems are working effectively and may provide direction to technicians and analysts who install and maintain systems.
  • May periodically assist in orienting, training, assigning, and checking the work of less experienced team members.
  • Recognizes business needs when prioritizing projects and selecting methods and techniques for solving problems.
  • May manage short term projects to successful completion.


Accountabilities:

  • Focuses on service management discipline within the environment to minimize impact to the business.
  • Performs tasks relating to design, configuration, deployment, and tests.
  • Maintains, monitors and trouble-shoots components to provide a secure, highly performing environment. Documents and maintains global/ITIL standards and processes and the development of specifications, records, form layouts, etc.
  • Analyzes and translates business requirements and user needs into engineering, design, and technical specifications.
  • Develops and maintains vendor and internal/external customer relationships.

Essential Requirements

  • Hands-on in Glide and Jelly Scripting, Java Script, HTML, XML, AJAX, AngularJS, JSON. Hands-on experience with web UI development technologies that include HTML, CSS, and AJAX
  • Experience with ServiceNow platform upgrades, portals, and management of update sets. Specifically Legal Service Delivery
  • Agile methodologies, scrum participation and working in global team environments
  • Positive attitude, Logical thinker with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills possessing the ability to translate complex concepts into simplified explanations
