100% onsite in Oceanside
Duration: approx 9 months
Reason for need: IT Lab Support/ help fill project gaps
Hours: Mon-Fri business hours (8am-5pm; 8:30-5pm etc)


Job Description:
• Perform Oceanside platforms system administration, configuration and validation tasks
• Provide systems administration and technical support in a non-GMP environment
• Provide end-user support and training including troubleshooting problems at the application level (includes working with vendors to resolve issues)
• Co-ordinate with Infrastructure, IT, and Database administrators to ensure continuous system availability
• Document and manage lab system defects and issues, assessments, and resolutions
• Upgrade of instrument PCs as needed
• Interface with vendors during instrument PMs and Instrument repairs or upgrades
• Coordinate with scientists and lab users to facilitate lab PC changes and systems patching
• General onsite support for Oceanside labs related instruments and PCs
• Manage backups for lab PCs
• Process and manage documentation for data integrity initiatives for Oceanside labs

Seeking 3+ years of Experience

Must Have Requirements/Skills:
- Be able to support users, provide system maintenance and upgrade.
- Strong communication skills
- Configure PC
- Install, upgrade software
- Support first line of troubleshooting
- Work with vendor to support OQ (make sure the instrument works)

Nice to Have Requirements/Skills:
-Troubleshooting Zebra printers
-Administer Bomgar
-Evaluation of SDMS needs

Education Requirements:
BA/BS + 3 years experience (or willing to review candidates with no BA/BS degree, if they have an additional 3 years of experience to substitute for college degree)

Experience in these systems: Bomgar, SDMS, Empower, Lab instruments and lab instrument PCs

Internal Team is Biologics Informatics and Data Science - approx 5 ppl total - responsible for the following within Gilead:
• Supports Biologics Process Development with architecture and structure for current and future data analysis and design.
• Deliver solutions to Process Development in data analysis and informatics using the latest technologies available.
• Develop new algorithms to solve problems when necessary
• Supports the non-GMP Biologics lab instruments and PCs
• Supports the non-GMP chromatography data system (Chromeleon)
