Site Reliability Engineer

Bellevue, WA (Remote)

12+ month Contract

Looking for an SRE to support DevOps on platform team. The hiring manager says this candidate is "more than someone looking at dashboards; someone who was former dev, especially web dev w/ traditional performance application—e.g., Splunk, because we use similar things in Azure.

Preference for candidates with exp working on IoT or hardware, particularly for a large enterprise (e.g., MSFT), AND candidates with above average communications skills (because this hiring manager has an outgoing, amiable personality).

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in production environments
  • Focus on reliability, performance, and system availability
  • Help teams achieve the appropriate (SLA) level of reliability in resources, services, and products

Required Skills:

  • .NET Development Experience (2+ Years)
  • Web Development

Desired Skills:

  • Experience developing Virtualization Dashboards in Azure Monitor, Grafana, ELK/Kibana
  • Experience with Application Performance Management (APM) tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, CA APM, Splunk APM
  • Able to work with multiple development teams to improve performance bottlenecks
  • Experience with cyber security tools and concepts
  • Capacity planning
  • Available for on-call support
