One and done interview process

Major:

  • Terraform
  • Understanding Jenkins pipeline - write and debug and fix
  • GCP and its services Kubernetes Administration (GKE)

Pluses:

  • Monitor tools - using app dynamics, data dog, stack driver
  • Needs to understand basic java applications and micro services
  • Docker
  • Understanding of how java works
  • Python or pash scripting is a plus
  • Provisioning cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) using infrastructure as code (Terraform)
  • Creating pipelines and automation to deploy Dockerized applications onto Kubernetes clusters
  • Build, release and configuration management of production systems
  • Developing, deploying, and maintaining tools built from the ground up in support of self-service, quality, security, and compliance initiatives.
  • Collaborating with product, architecture, and engineering groups to build a  platform that streamlines application developer productivity and throughput
  • Help improve the monitoring and alerting system that support our applications and APIs through SLIs and SLOs and drill down metrics

Experience:

  • 5+ Years advanced level experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering with expertise in Enterprise Cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred) in a mission critical environment
  • Strong working knowledge of modern development technologies and tools such Agile, CI/CD, Git, Nexus, Terraform and Jenkins.
  • Strong experience with container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based technologies and tools especially in deployment, monitoring and operations, such as Data Dog, Prometheus, Splunk, ElasticSearch, Grafana
  • Strong experience in provisioning cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) using infrastructure as code (Terraform).
