Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Warehouse Engineer to support a federal client. This remote role involves designing, optimizing, and managing a unified data warehouse to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and performance across environments.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Snowflake SME with advanced knowledge of data warehousing, including data modeling, stored procedures, and views.
  • Design and implement efficient ETL/ELT processes, using AWS services (Glue, Athena, DMS, etc.) to integrate and manage data from diverse sources.
  • Oversee and automate data pipelines across development, test, and production environments, optimizing for performance and scalability.
  • Engage with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and provide ongoing production support.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and collaborate across teams to ensure seamless operations.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Snowflake Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Snowflake data warehousing, including data modeling, stored procedures, and views.
  • Proficiency in SQL, ETL/ELT, data integration, and AWS data services.
  • Experience in Python scripting for data automation.
  • Ability to operate in agile environments and meet federal compliance standards.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with Tableau/Power BI for data reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications and SOP documentation.
  • Understanding of federal client data security and compliance requirements.
