Responsibilities:

Architect, build, and maintain cost-efficient, scalable cloud environments like AWS, GCP and OCI.

• Commission public cloud environments with customized VPC, Subnets, security groups, compute (EC2), storage (EBS, EFS, S3) and databases (RDS, Aurora, Document DB, Dynamo DB).
• Migrate On-prem applications and databases to public clouds using tools like DMS, Data Sync, Snowball and Cloud Endure.
• Control user's access and security by IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, SSO, Inspector and Certificate Manager.
• Monitor and manage cloud resources with Cloud watch, Cloud Formation, Cloud Trial, CLI and AWS Config.
• Commission NetApp Cloud Volume ONTAP solution to migrate on-prem NAS mount points to AWS Cloud Volume ONTAP.
• Prevision MySQL Database environments (Development, QA, Stress and Production) as per the application/product requirements.
• Design and Implement Data modeling, Sharding, Capacity Planning, Disaster Recovery setup.
• Instal/Configure of MySQL NDB (Network DB) cluster (Versions 5.6.35-ndb-7.4.14, 5.7.18-ndb-7.5.6, 5.6.17-ndb-7.3.5) for HA setup.
• Design and Implement of MySQL Security features like TDE (Transparent Data Encryption) and Enterprise Firewall to protect PCI, PII and HIPPA data.
• Design and Implement backup strategies with MySQL Dump, Percona Xtra Backup, MySQL Enterprise Backup (MEB) and LVM snapshot
• Design and Implement of MySQL Enterprise Backup (MEB) integration with Veritas NetBackup to avoid creating backups on local storage
• Tune Database performance by creating Indexes or Rebuilding the index for faster access of Data (Analyze/Optimize and recreate table structure).
• Install/Configure multiple MySQL instances/services on bare metal servers to minimize Hardware usage.
• Configure NetApp Snap mirror Relationships to maintain Disaster Recovery solution between the datacenters.

Academic Qualifications:

• This position requires, at a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.
