Description

We are looking for a Full Stack Data Engineer with experience on building cyber security solutions to join our SOC Data Platforms team. Data Platforms teams are a part of a larger Data Management team that helps our internal customers to develop and operate our data related services such as data lakes, warehouses, and visualization applications in modern cloud environment using the latest technology and methodology. As your first project you would be working in an international cross-functional agile team developing digital solutions to optimize Fortum SOC platform solution. The tools are present in AWS and Azure with solutions based on Terraform, S3 buckets and lambda functions and Microsoft Sentinel, Log Stash and Log Analytics.

We look for an engineer that can work independently after a brief introduction to the overall architecture and the technical solutions.

Competence areas in order of importance: AWS (S3, SNS, SQS, EC2, NLB), Azure (Log Analytics, KQL, Sentinel, EventHub, Functions), Terraform, Python, Logstash, Ansible, Snowflake, Bash, GitHub Actions, Packer, Git.

Responsibilities

Design and implement data solutions, pipelines, visualization, and infrastructure defined in the product backlogs

Identify, design and implement internal process improvements

Review the work of other data engineers

Transforms complicated business problems into data pipelines

Contributes to the development, operation and architectural design of complex data platforms

Take an active role in supporting Junior Data Engineers in their career path

Actively finds ways to learn from team members and stakeholders, and shares knowledge beneficial to the team
