About The Role

As a Software Development Engineer at Reuters, you will:

Deliver end-to-end technical solutions for Reuters.com, keeping both our audience, product team and our journalists in mind when developing new solutions for our news streams.
Collaborate with your colleagues to ensure that Reuters.com works consistently across a variety of displays (such as desktop and mobile).
Work on AWS-hosted services, following Agile Scrum methodologies.
Explain sometimes complex concepts to others to further ideas and initiatives. 
Have the opportunity to learn new skillsets and methodologies by working and collaborating with experienced colleages.
Play a crucial role in how millions of people consume news on a daily basis.

About You

You're a fit for the role of Software Development Engineer at Reuters, if you:

Have demonstrable experience of developing Java, with some exposure to building and maintaining web services in AWS. 
Are a great communicator, fluent in both English and Polish.
Have a collaborative work ethic, able to work both independently and within a wider, friendly team.
Are comfortable stating your opinion in front of others and are able to discuss sometimes complex technical systems with business stakeholders that do not necessarily have a technical background.
Have the desire to learn new skills and learn unfamiliar technology.
Have an interest in working for a leading global news agency.
