Software Engineer (Java Backend)

Role DESCRIPTION
Outline of the Role:
Engineering involves applying Computer Science principles to design, build, maintain, scalable and sustainable technology Products and Solutions. These technology Products and Solutions provide amazing guest experiences while meeting the needs of the business.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
? Capable of designing, building, and testing new systems from the ground up with minimal
support.
? Collaborates with local team and partner teams.
? Conforms to quality standards.
? Identifies performance issues and optimizes solution.
? Applies knowledge of security coding practices and/or secure system fundamentals (e.g.,
cross-site scripting, security certificates).
? Leads end-to-end engineering for projects and problems of complex scope and impact within
practice.
? Strong software delivery fundamentals including automated testing, source control,
continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
? Proficient in producing robust application design and producing patterns to ensure
applications are resilient and scalable.
? Accountable to ensure engineering teams meet production SLAs of applications/systems.

Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Personal Requirements:
? BS or MS in CS, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
? 7+ yrs. professional experience in practice area including the following:
o Java/spring boot
o Design patterns
o AWS
o Docker
o Kubernetes
o Terraform
o Postgres SQL
o CD/CD
o GitHub
o Jenkins
o Kafka
o Agile methodology
