Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Commercetools Lead to join our team. The ideal

candidate will have a deep understanding of the commercetools platform and a proven track record

of leading and mentoring development teams. The Commerce tools Lead will be responsible for

architecting and implementing e-commerce solutions, providing technical leadership, and ensuring

the successful delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership:

 

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team in the implementation of e-commerce solutions using the Commercetools platform.
• Collaborate with other leads and stakeholders to align technical strategies with business objectives.
• Customize and extend the functionality of Commercetools to meet specific business requirements.
  
   

Architecture And Design

 

• Architect and design scalable and maintainable e-commerce solutions based on the Commercetools platform.
• Ensure that the architecture meets performance, security, and scalability requirements.
  
   

Development And Implementation

 

• Lead the development team in coding, testing, and deploying Commercetools-based applications.
• Oversee the customization and extension of Commercetools functionalities to meet specific business needs.
  
   

Team Collaboration

 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, designers, and business analysts, to ensure seamless integration and a cohesive user experience.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative development environment.
  
   

Project Management

 

• Manage and prioritize development tasks, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope.
• Work closely with project managers to estimate effort and resources required for development projects.
  
   

Mentorship And Training

 

• Mentor and train team members on Commercetools best practices and development methodologies.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the development team.
  
   

Ideal Profile

 

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Commercetools Developer, with a minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience.
• Previous experience in a lead or senior development role.
• In-depth knowledge of the Commercetools platform and its APIs.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Java or JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce architecture and best practices.
  
   

Preferred Skills

 

• Commercetools Certification.
• Experience with headless commerce architecture.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud-based environments and services.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
