I. Purpose of Position

 

• This position will be responsible for developing GUI, web and other software on a leading embedded platform involved in the fuel management industry
• This position will begin to take on increasing responsibilities of project and technical leadership
  
   

II. Key Responsibilities

 

• Design, develop and test embedded software, GUI and Web pages
• Contribute to software architecture in conjunction with architecture team
• Participate in an Agile/Scrum team and provide analysis
• Act as Scrum Master or Product Owner as appropriate
• Participate in process improvement activities towards releasing the highest quality, world class software on time
• Other duties as assigned by Manager, with or without accommodation. 
  
   

III. Relationships

 

• This position reports directly to the Manager of Software Engineering
• Daily interaction with members of the software development team.
• Daily interaction with members of the remote software development team.
• Daily interaction with members of the software quality assurance team.
• Daily interaction with project management and other related departments

• Ability to take on tasks of increasing complexity and ambiguity
• Success in meeting company objectives.

I. Background and Skill

 

• B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Software Eng, Computer Eng or equivalent experience required
• MS degree a plus
• 4+ years of experiences in commercial software development in object-oriented language
• Embedded systems experiences a plus.
• Linux Embedded operating systems and Linux based development tools a plus
• Able to troubleshoot and problem solve in an embedded environment a plus
• Proficiency in the programming language C++ required
• Experience in the programming language Python a plus.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum software methodologies a plus.
• Proficiency with source control required.
• Proficiency in secure product development a plus.
