Software Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team. As a member of the Digital SDLC team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our application that ensures compliance and proper documentation within our pharmaceutical company. You will be working in a cross-functional agile team of approximately 15 people located in Prague and contribute to both backend and frontend development, as well as writing and maintaining tests for the codebase.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with a cross-functional agile team to develop, maintain, and enhance the Digital SDLC application.
Write clean, efficient, and reusable code using JavaScript (TypeScript) for both backend and frontend development.
Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
Participate in technical discussions, code reviews and contribute ideas for improving the application's architecture, scalability, and performance.
Stay updated with the latest software engineering patterns and principles to continuously improve the application.
Work closely with product owner, UX designers, testers, and DevOps specialists to deliver high-quality software.
Expected Qualifications

Strong knowledge of software engineering principles and best practices.
Proficiency in JavaScript (TypeScript) and experience with Node.js, Express, Koa frameworks.
Solid experience with React for frontend development.
Familiarity with PostgreSQL and Redis databases.
Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest, Chai, React Testing Library, or Robot Framework.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Desired Qualifications

Familiarity with AWS and Terraform.
Experience with Docker, GitHub, and Jira.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
