Software Engineer

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Work with development teams to ideate software solutions.

Contribute to the design and implementation of the overall web architecture

Develop and manage highly reliable and scalable databases and applications

Lead project progress and management by defining and achieving goals

Participate in scrum ceremonies with a global team

Design and implementation of continuous integration and deployment

Solve problems with alternative approaches and in consultation with stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications
4+ years of proven work experience in Ruby and Rails development

2-4 years of experience in Object Oriented Design using more than one programming language like Python, C, C#, Java, PHP, Go, TypeScript, and Node.js. This is in addition to the Ruby and Rails development experience mentioned above
Proficiency with more than one DBMS (e.g. Postgres, MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc

Excellent understanding of REST concepts and familiarity with the Richardson Maturity Model of REST services

Exposure to SRE / DevOps practices

Deep expertise in object-oriented development, including strong knowledge of design patterns and design principles

Understanding of messaging concepts and technologies, such as Active MQ, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, AWS SNS etc

Experience in writing automated unit tests

Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

One or more years of experience with e-commerce platforms
