Software Engineer

 Job Description:
Design test processes and procedures used to ensure that software operates within defined requirements. Implement test plans, automation, and validation strategies.
Identify and investigate issues found during testing.
Work closely with software developers and software quality analysts to resolve issues.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts to reduce repetitive manual testing. Conducts routine tasks as directed. Typically requires up to five years + of relevant experience.
5 to 10 years of experience on Automation using ReadyAPI, Rest Assured and Performance testing using JMeter tools
Design, develop and deliver automated testing using Java and services testing using Groovy scripting with JMeter / SoapUI /API
Document, communicate, and escalate test results and defects
Apply Jenkins / Maven / Git / Stash for continuous integration and version control of automation artifacts
Build and implement SQL queries and validate databases using an automation tool
Critical thinking to translate sophisticated application flows to test cases
Hands-on engineer with the ability to code in various programming languages (preferably in Java), JavaScript, SQL, etc to automate tests for the full solution stack (UI, App Layer, REST API, Web Service)
Proven experience within test automation development, using frameworks and tools like Junit, TestNG, Appium, Cucumber, Postman as well as REST/JSON APIs
Verifiable experience in building and deploying CI systems such as Jenkins,
Knowledge of deployment technologies with emphasis on AWS Cloud
Experience using the Selenium Grid for parallel execution of Test Cases in Multiple Browsers
Knowledge of Extent Reports 2.0, Eclipse IDE, and Java for developing the Automation Scripts
Experience in developing Feature Files using Gherkins language for the BDD
Experience with the Postman, ReadyAPI with Groovy scripting to Test the APIs.
