Responsibilities Work activities include (and certainly not limited to) the following: 
Install and remove hardware into racks efficiently and neatly. 
Collaborate with other technology teams to determine network and storage connections. 
Enters Service Requests for network/storage/telecom connections. 
Enter documentation in work orders. 
Add new equipment in the Data Center Inventory system (dcTrack) 
Edit records in the Data Center Inventory system as needed. 
Watch for Incident, Requests and Changes in the ITSM system (Service Now). 
Work on Incident, Change, and Service Request tickets as needed. 
Perform the initial configure of Power Distribution Units (PDUs) 
Add and remove records in the Data Center Energy Management and Power Monitoring Software (PowerIQ) Provide assistance and act as a technical consultant to Data Center users. 
Attend project meetings and meet or exceed project deadlines. 
Work with the team to maintain the neatness of all Data Centers 
Arrange delivery of equipment to other sites 
Be on call as scheduled. 
Ability to work either Day Shift, or Swing Shift, or Mid Shift including weekends and holidays as scheduled. Other duties as assigned. Other qualifications 
Must be able to lift 100 pounds. 
Proficient with Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook 
4+ years of experience working as a Data Center Technician
