Position description:

  • The Software Solution Architect will support and complete the tasks necessary to design and implement a methodology to enable the client’s Health Services ESB to track the transmission of messages and provide additional related services supporting the interfaces for systems connecting to the Data Hub.
  • Solution Architect will work under the direction of Customer Services, and cross matrix teams to support and complete the tasks necessary for the Enterprise ISA technical team.
  • The Solution Architect is integral to supporting and improving automated processes, streamlining critical business processes, data integrity, SEM/SUITE compliance, and securing the applications. 
  • As a lead, the Solution Architect participates in a variety of assignments that provides for the enhancement, integration, maintenance, and implementation of projects. 
  • The Solution Architect will also provide application oversight to business analysts and to other  teams integrating with Health Enterprise Service Bus (HESB).

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing solutions for new use cases.
  • Responsible for developing ROMs for new use cases.
  • Responsible for overall system design
  • Review and approve system design for new use cases.
  • Responsible for overall code and configuration
  • Review and approve code deliverables.
  • Coach and mentor developers
  • Code of applications, interfaces, modules, components, and reports
  • Complete testing plan and checklists
  • Produce requested Systems Engineering Methodology (SEM) deliverables.
  • Complete transition and maintenance plans to enable state staff to maintain applications, code, interfaces, modules, components, and reports.
  • Perform knowledge transfer to state staff.
  • Create technical documentation.
  • Document and maintain the Incident Response Plan (IRP)
  • Document, track and resolve technical exception requests (TRB)
  • Document and maintain the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP)
  • Responsible for Health Service ESB’s SSP / ATO / POAMS
  • Follow configuration management processes implemented.
  • Vendor support for Rhapsody licensing and software.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Implementing solutions based on Implementation Guides
  • Custom message payload translation from one format (e.g., JSON, XML, HL7) to a different format (e.g., proprietary/legacy format)
  • Experience using web services, SOAP, REST, OAUTH, TCP-connections, LLP, etc.
  • Experience using transport encryption/security; TLS, mutual authorization via certificates, etc.
