Description

As a Software Test Engineer, you will be an integral part of our Agile development team. You will play a key role in the Software Development Lifecycle ensuring that our products are delivered to a published roadmap within planned release cycles.

You will be contributing towards the definition and development of a Sprint backlog to achieve the goals set out by our Product team. This is all whilst supporting the Test Team to ensure that our applications meet our definition of done and have the potential to be released within our continuous deployment cycle.

Responsibilities

Execute test cases and scripts to ensure that software products meet quality standards and user requirements.
Identify, track, and report defects and issues found during testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and project managers, to ensure that software products are tested thoroughly and meet project goals.
Participate in project planning and estimation activities to ensure that testing activities are properly scoped and resourced.
Develop and maintain test documentation, including, test cases, and test scripts.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline testing processes and improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Guided by team members, able to comprehend simple requirements and contributes towards preparing test datasets, writing and execution of the test cases. 
Participates in team activities such as planning, daily stand-ups, demos and retrospectives.
Keep up to date with the latest trends and technologies in software testing and development.
Contribute towards the automation of test scripts and build required documentation

Essential

Skills and Experience

Experience in software testing or quality assurance.
Knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Knowledge or Experience in using automated testing tools.
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of programming languages and development tools.
Willingness to continuously learn and develop skills.
