Solution Architect

Job Description

1. Define the E2E technical and functional solution for customer requirements across IT systems, with a specific focus on use of strong architecture practices, tools and techniques.
2. Analyze potential solution alternatives with pros-and-cons; recommend best-fit option taking into account the geography and opportunity context
3. 8-16 years of OSS solution architecture, design and delivery/presales experience (Telecom domain), with some hands-on delivery experience on commercial COTS platforms, in Fulfilment, Assurance, Activation & Inventory domains
4. Sound knowledge of Telecom networking and telecommunication technologies Mobile, Fixed-line, IP, Ethernet and Fibre and product definitions in service catalogue: Products, CFS & RFS for B2B/B2C business lines
5. Strong domain knowledge of e2e OSS fulfilment, assurance, inventory, plan-n-build domains (atleast 2) for Fixed and/or Mobile networks
6. In-depth experience engaging with stakeholders to elicit customer requirements, prepare and agree solutions and define implementation user-stories to build the solution
7. Work closely with network engineering, planning, operations and BSS teams, and external partners to convert requirements and translate them into architectural solutions.
8. Review complex OSS processes and propose simplified modular solutions, for a simplified end-state architecture
9. Must demonstrate proactive problem-solving, solution expertise, consultative 'questioning' and active listening, in addition to possessing excellent communication and presentation skills
10. Knowledge of one or two leading technology trends - Cloud, 5G, network slicing, SDN/NFV, DevOps
11. Expertise (certification) and specialization in one or more of the above would be a bonus
12. Ability to co-ordinate with cross-functional (virtual) teams with many colleagues spread out in different locations
