Objectives of this role

We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Solution Architect specializing in

Cisco Network and Compute solutions. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of

experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex network and compute

infrastructures using Cisco technologies. This role demands a strategic thinker with excellent

technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design comprehensive Cisco network and compute solutions aligned

with business objectives and technical requirements.

• Create detailed architectural blueprints and documentation, ensuring scalability,

security, and reliability.

• Lead the deployment and integration of Cisco network and compute solutions,

including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and storage.

• Oversee configuration, testing, and troubleshooting processes to ensure

seamless integration and optimal performance.

• Provide expert guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a

collaborative and innovative environment.

• Stay updated with the latest Cisco technologies and industry trends, advising on

best practices and emerging solutions.

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, translating them

into technical requirements and solutions.

• Present and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical

stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment.

• Conduct regular assessments and audits of network and compute systems to

identify areas for improvement.

• Implement robust security measures and protocols to safeguard data and

infrastructure.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, ensuring effective collaboration and

resource allocation.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of architectures, configurations,

procedures, and changes.


 

• Generate regular reports on system performance, security status, and project

progress for executive review.

• Cisco Networking Technologies: Cisco IOS and NX-OS devices

• Unified Computing System (UCS): Cisco UCS architecture, components, and

management tools

• Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI): Cisco ACI architecture, policies, and

deployment scenarios

• Network Protocols and Standards: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, and other

networking protocols

• Network Security: Cisco ASA, Firepower, and other security appliances

• Virtualization: Virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)

• Cloud Computing: Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid

cloud environments

• Automation and Scripting: Automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; or

equivalent work experience.

• Over 15 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing Cisco

network and compute solutions.

• Deep expertise in Cisco technologies, including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, UCS

(Unified Computing System), and ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure).

• Proficiency in network protocols, virtualization technologies, and security

frameworks.

• Experience with cloud computing platforms and hybrid cloud environments is a plus.


 

• Relevant Cisco certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Software Architect, with expertise in

designing and architecting complex solutions.

• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible).

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.

• Proficiency in system infrastructure, monitoring, database, and information

technologies.

• Expertise in cloud security, network security, and identity and access management

(IAM) solutions, including SSO, Okta, and Hypershield.


 

Business Hour

Normal Business hours. The expectation would be to start late and cover EST time

until 12 PM. Exception subject to manager permission.

Job Type

Hybrid Working: Minimum 4 days from office Monday to Thursday. Friday is flexible

but in case of business need and high demand, the manager may request to be

present in the office.
